Stitch preview (100 x 100 mm hoop)
Open a picture to start (PNG works best: flat colours, transparent or plain background), or open an embroidery file (.pes, .dst, .jef, .vp3, .exp, .hus, .shv...).
How to use it
  1. Picture: logos, cartoons, icons and clip art work best. Set the width (95 mm at most for the 100 x 100 hoop) and the number of thread colours, then press Convert.
  2. Embroidery file (.pes, .dst, .jef, .vp3, .exp, .hus, .shv and more): the stitches are used exactly as they are. .dst and .exp files have no colours, so pick the threads yourself. Designs must fit the hoop (look for the "4x4" size).
  3. If a thread looks wrong, pick another from its list: these are the names the machine will ask for. Pink lines in the preview are jumps; snip that thread after sewing.
  4. Floppy full? Under "On the floppy", Delete a design you don't need (the ones after it move up) or Replace it with the design you have open. Open loads a design from the floppy so you can change its threads or name; press Replace on the same place to save it back.
  5. Put a floppy in the drive, press Choose floppy drive..., pick the floppy (A:) and allow the browser to edit it. Then Add design to floppy (up to 6 designs per floppy).
  6. If the floppy is write-protected, slide the tab so the hole is closed. Wait for the drive light to go out before taking the floppy out. Try new designs on scrap fabric first.
